| Sensaura Press Releases |
Sensaura has released a couple pieces of interesting news. The first pertains to their multi-speaker 3-D positional audio technology called Multi-Drive. Here is a bit from that press release:
Sensaura MultiDrive uses patented Sensaura transaural crosstalk cancellation algorithms, which ensure optimal performance. As a result multi-speaker system owners are not restricted to experiencing flat, 2D sound panning, but can instead enjoy the full benefits of true immersive 3D audio.
The second press release pertains to an expansion of the 3D positional audio as we know it. This technology, called MacroFX does that following:
MacroFX, a patented Sensaura technology, creates 'near field proximity effects'. These are the effects experienced in real life situations when objects enter a inner circumference of space around the listener i.e. sound is perceived differently as it gets closer e.g. someone whispering in your ear or a fly buzzing around your head.
This innovative algorithm is integrated directly with Sensaura's established 3D audio processing and controlled automatically by the Microsoft DirectSound3D API. This means it is completely transparent to software programmers.
These technologies will be displayed at GDC, and with our own Alan and Alexis attending, you can be sure we will have more on this. Check back for more info.
