Welcome to the Playstation section of 3DGaming, a source for reliable Playstation news! I am Ling Kong, the webmaster for this section. From now on, I will try to bring you the newest information in the playstation scene, high quality reviews of both Japanese and U.S. PSX games, and other in-depth articles. Feel free to contact me and make suggestions.

As the Playstation reaches maturity, more and more good games show up on the market. Now, in its fourth year in the gaming industry, developers are pulling all the resources of the Playstation, delivering games with astonishing graphics, sound, and game play. These following pages are dedicated to keeping up with this amazing console and bringing you information from Sony Computer Entertainment and Major developers (ie. Capcom, Konami, Namco) for PSX.

In March of 1999, Sony Computer Entertainment amazed the gaming world with the announcement of their new product, the Playstation II. This new backward compatible console kills all rivaling competition in processing power, being able to process up to 75 million (20 million with effects turned on)!!! This is faster than the voodoo3, Dreamcast, TNT2... In comparison of FPU, it's almost three times as fast as the Pentium III! Companies like Squaresoft and Namco displayed their demos for the PSX2, already pledging their support for the new console...

If the Playstation II can claim as many 3rd party developers as the PSX did, we will soon see Sony as the dominant giant in the videogame industry. Already in 1998, Sony topped the game console sales (over 1 billion dollars in sales) with the current Playstation. They announced internet support for their new console as well as the possible ability to view DVD movies. The Playstation II is going to be big news, and you will definitly see the lastest information about the Playstation II on this site!

Besides daily news for PSX, I will provide reviews for games, show screen captures, list upcoming games, compare consoles, talk about PSX peripherals, and will also discuss the videogame scene in the U.S. and Japan...

For even more information on the PSX, visit our forum and then check these other sites.
