Rage 128 Revealed
ATI, the world's largest supplier of 3D graphics and multimedia technology, is an important leader in the 3D Graphics
arena today. Most most widely known for their stellar ATI Rage Pro which sported the first full AGP-2X implementation
and motion compensation engine, the chip continues to be earn large OEM design wins due to its well-rounded performance in
2D, 3D, and DVD. With the new 128-bit Rage128GL, ATI claimed to be offering a product that is not merely a well-rounded performer,
but also a chip that provided the fastest 2D, 3D, and DVD performance available on the market. Furthermore, the 3D performance would
not be limited to running Direct3D games at 32-bit color at high resolution, but also to professional OpenGL applications.
3DGaming is proud to present Rage128 Revealed, our in-depth look into ATI's new product. As our rigorous testing methodology and procedures
demands significant time and resources, we will publish our initial impressions first and will have the rest of the review up shortly.
